Cold Press in the French Press...

Ok so I guess there is this craze going around about cold press coffee... I haven't tried it. I am a fan of the caffeinated substance that many of us like to drink called coffee. I was skeptical of the french press when my mom started using it instead of the "greca" (in english this goes by the name "moka pot" you can look it up on wikipedia). The greca is the typical Dominican coffee pot. Since then I have tried it & have found that I like the french press as well as the greca and in general it is more hassle free & easier to clean. A friend told me about "cold press coffee" the other day, but since I don't know where to find that here, I have not yet tried it... today I got curious though. I looked around the net & found this site:

Will Owen, another blogger on Chowhound says of Cold Press Coffee:

"It's the Disney version of coffee. Smells good, tastes good, curiously harmless. Some people like that. They frankly scare me."

I guess I will see tonight if I agree with this.

I suspect that quite possibly, like most things processed, (yes, the "mickey-mouse" version of foods), they usually taste good at first, and then from time to time as a special treat, but in reality aren't near as good & tasty as the real deal... but I shall see, who knows?
